[SunHELP] graphical login & umount -af / umountall -k

Hi Gurus,

I discovered that it isn't possible to simply unmount all devices (except
root, /usr, swap and /proc) without irritating the dtlogin-process and its
childs.
The manual of ufsdump says that it is necessary to have all devices
quiescent _in whole_, execution of scripts switching to runlevel S and back
isn't easy (because of password input) so I think the only way is umount
.... are there different ideas on this?
Can anyone tell me how to shut down CDE in order to make a full backup with
unmounted devices?
Is it sufficient to execute /etc/init.d/dtlogin stop before backup and start
it afterwards?

Many thanks,
Chris
