Hi

We DNS master server running on the NT machine and secondary server
running on UNIX solaris 2.6 .

When i execute "nslookup" command on secondary server it takes our
secondary server as the DNS server as i have defined secondary server ip
addresses as the first server in
/etc/resolv.conf . But when i try to resolve a host name which is in the
root domain it gives me a error :-

        server cant find <hostname> .

I have tried giving the full hostname.rootdomain at nslookup prompt still
i get same error, but when i use our primary DNS server in nslookup i get
the reponse for "hostname.rootdomain"

Could somebody help with this thanks in advance .

Regards

Manish
