You probablu want to download the instructions and the DHCP client from
www.isc.org. Versions of Solaris after 2.6 have support for DHCP built in,
but I doubt that your old IPX has a recent version of Solaris.

If you do have a recent solaris, you might look at docs.sun.com for support.

Subject: [Sunhelp] DHCP

Hello,
I have my internet dial-up set up on a 56k modem on my PowerMac. I also have
a copy of Viacomsoft's SurfDoubler on it. If Ethernet my "new" IPX and Mac
together, can I get the IPX to get it's IP address from the DHCP server in
SurfDoubler? I've scrounged the manuals I got from docs.sun.com and several
FAQ's; closest I've seen deals with setting it up under PPP, but I don't
think that would work for a network connection like this.

Thanks in advance,

William
