Hello,
       if your changing domains,
                                1. edit '/etc/defaultdomain' (#vi
/etc/defaultdomain) and change domain names

                                2. create
'/var/yp/binding/domain.net.providence.edu'

                                3. fix '/etc/auto_master' (add or comment
out all that is necessary)

                                4. set up '/usr/local (link)
                                       #mv /usr/local /usr/local.old
                                       #ln -s /apps/local /usr/local

                                5. make sure '/etc/netmasks' is set to find
the new server
                                              **exp '255.255.255.124'

                                6. reboot sys #reboot

                                7. delete local.old if domain takes

Subject: [Sunhelp] changes needed to move machine to different network

I'm looking for what files need changing so I can move a Solaris 8 machine
from one network to another.

What files contain IP address, Netmask, Routing info, anything else???

This machine only has a single nic (hme0).

Thanks.
