OK, but is there any risk at trying? Does standard SDRAM DIMM differ
greatly from ECC EDO DIMMs? Do they differ in voltage or pins
distribution?

I've contacted SUN's local representative and he sent me this
specifications, which only specify ECC for the Ultra1:

64-Mbyte (2 x 32MB DIMMs) 50ns DRAM expansion for Ultra 5 and Ultra 10
128-Mbyte (2 x 64MB DIMMs) 50ns DRAM expansion for Ultra 5 and Ultra 10
256-Mbyte (2 x 128MB DIMMs) 50ns DRAM expansion for Ultra 5 and Ultra 10
64-Mbyte (2 x 32MB DIMMs) 60ns ECC expansion for Ultra 1
128-Mbyte (2 x 64MB DIMMs) 60ns ECC expansion for Ultra 1
256-Mbyte (2 x 128MB DIMMs) 60ns ECC expansion for Ultra 1

The other seems standard 50 ns DIMMs. Unfortunatly, he couldn't
give me further info, and obviously, he didn't want to give me other
suggestions but buying their memory chips.

Should I dammage anything if I try? :-)

        Any comments would be appreciated
