[SunHELP] Sun Sparc for Academic Purpose

I am have mainly been a Novell and Microsoft guy. Now
I want to add Sun H/W and Solaris to my list of
skills.

To that end I wanted to buy a Sun sparc for academic
purposes and would like to know a reasonable
configuration. I am only wanting to learn the O/S and
some basic tools.

Can ye'all gurus help me out with this. Also, please
provide me with web-references. Thanks.

P.S. Could you please add URLs to non-SUN websites
good for academic purposes.
