[SunHELP] .pkg files

Try using the file command on the package.

I have found myself needing to uncompress packages that had no extension
indicating it was compressed/gzip/tar-d/etc...

I'm pretty sure that installing packages should be as simple as -

pkgadd -d .

however, this never seems to work for me.  What am I doing wrong?  It seems
that no matter from where I have downloaded the package, I can never use it
for anything.  Any ideas?
