It turned out the 2.8 install was corrupted (disk errors). I reinstalled
today on 2.8 and add them to 2.6.

SunOS healy 5.8 Generic sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-5_10
/usr/share/man/sman5/sgml.5 : SUNWman

Can you do a "man ls"?
Is /usr/share/man in your MANPATH?
