Hi Bhuwan,

The file you need to look at for suppressing the banner in solaris is

/etc/lp/interfaces/<printername>

i.e., in the /etc/lp/interfaces directory there will be a file with the name of 
the printer. Open the file using vi editor, and search for the pattern
"nobanner". There will be a string there which will be as

nobanner = no  (it is the default value. which means that banner = yes) 
(negative logic).

To suppress the banner change the word "no" to "yes". Then the line becomes

nobanner = yes   (which means banner = no).

Then save the file and exit.
