Add the hostname and IP to /etc/hosts, and then create /etc/hostname.elx0:1
with the corresponding hostname in it.

Subject: [Sunhelp] Permanent multiple IP assignement on the NIC card

Good day,

The ifconfig command allow me to add IPs on the NIC card when it is up and
running. (ie: ifconfig elx0:4 234.234.234.234 netmask 255.255.255.255 &
ifconfig elx0:4 up)

When the system reboots those assignments are lost.

Where can I put those informations to make sure they are assigned when the
system reboots?

Regards,

          Jean-Marc Beaudoin, T.P.
