For the resolution you may need to set the desired value in the NVRAM and 
setenv use-nvramrc? to true.

I think you have a PC SVGA monitor, so if you want to set the resolution you 
have to do something like this

ok> nvedit
  0: 11 value video-mode
  1: <ctrl>C
ok> nvstore
ok> setenv use-nvramrc? true
ok> boot -rv

Check also the man page for "/usr/sbin/ffbconfig" cmd.
