I'm pretty sure I've got batteries knocking about. Give me a while, and I'll
get back to you on that. If you can refurb them, I'm going to be interested
in that, too! I live in Essex. Where are you?

I guess whilst I'm on a roll attempting to break my newly acquired
SPARCbook 3 I should heed the wisdom of the list archive by not just
trying to solder some Nicads into the battery compartment - clearly the
original batteries have some microelectronics in to control charging -
even I recognise that bypassing this is a *bad idea*.

Anyone out there in the UK got one or more dead batteries for a
SPARCbook 3 they'd be able to ship me so I can refurbish it and use it
in the '3 I have here?
