[SPARCbook] Okay: list will stay as-is

Folks,

Okay, the list will stay as-is for at least another year. It's basically
zero maintenance for me and I have more important things to do than delete
a list and archive the contents somewhere right now. 8-)

I think Tadpole (aka General Dynamics/Tadpole/Whatever) is the only company
currently making SPARC-based laptops. [1]

I did a review of Naturetech's Meso999 (the Ultra 3) in 2005:

And here's pictures of the Proso2400:

I know I wrote a review of the 2400, but I can't *find* it! Not in the
site archives, not in my personal archives, etc. All I can find is the
pictures.

NatureTech appears to have gone out of business; their web page now goes to
some sort of real estate company.

[1] Annoying: 4 years ago my contact at Tadpole had promised to send me an
older SPARC-based laptop of some sort, newer than the SPARCBook 3 series,
in exchange for advertising I ran for them on SunHELP. Shortly thereafter,
they got bought by GD, all of my contacts stopped responding, and I got
nothing whatsoever out of the deal. Nowdays, SunHELP costs more money than
it brings in, but I continue running it as a "labor of love", with the
occasional donation and Wish List purchase making up for my time.
