At least the cable I was talking about goes from the mini-26-pin plug on
the back of the S3 to a female AUI plug, to which you need to attach an
external PHY (e.g. a 10baseT AUI adapter to go to a typical RJ45 ethernet
jack.)

I'm not aware of any AUI adapters with the Sun mini-26-pin plug on them
directly (as much as I wish such a thing existed.)
