[SPARCbook] sparcbook, solaris 2.5.1 and java

Hi,

i'm trying to get the java from sun (1.2.1_04_jdk_sparc.tar.Z) to run
on my sparcbook. However, it dumps core. My attempt to install the recommended
patched for the jdk led to an unbootable system (problem with the sd driver).
does anyone have 2.5.1 patched in a way so that java 1.2 runs? if so, which
patches do i need install?

I don't want to upgrade to 2.6, because I don't have the media, and it'll eat
even more memory and be even slower than 2.5.1.
