This is a security "feechur" - I don't know why netscape trips this up, but try: xhost 127.0.0.1  (or if you want to open your
screen to everyone and everything - not a good idea xhost +)

Your hard drive had errors (or rather one of your file systems.)  Boot to single user mode using init 1 (when propted enter the root
password, then type in fsck -y  Once it's done, hit Control-D and let the machine boot normally.  You might also need to reinstall
whatever package tip comes in.

Not sure about your modem question.  Perhaps someone else can answer it.

You'll want the Solaris System Administration books. Search on Amazon, Bookpool or BigWords for these.  You'll also want to check
out the answerbook if it was installed as it has docs on Solaris.  The man command is your friend too... On the front page of
sunhelp.org there are pointers to FAQ's (Frequently Asked Question lists.)
