[rescue] Cable testers

I gave up on making my own standard ethernet cables when it was pointed
out that we could buy cases of patch cords of various lengths for less
than it'd cost to buy a good tester. I had so much trouble crimping cat6
cables that I was happy to let someone else deal with it.

For home use, I've been buying flat cat6 cables and they've been working
well enough for my small condo. They are thin enough I can tuck them under
the baseboards without trouble. And they take up less space in the laptop
bag.
