Hello folks,

Thanks to Mouse for explaining the high-bit-dropping list behaviour. I
guess this doesn't look like a British Pound Sign, then: B#B#B# :)

The MAC address displayed is that of the U10, yes. At the OpenBOOT
prompt, doing 'watch net' (or 'watch net-all') should show something
similar to this:

ok watch-net
Hme register test --- succeeded.
Internal loopback test -- succeeded.
Transceiver check -- Using Onboard Transceiver - Link Up.
passed
Using Onboard Transceiver - Link Up.
Looking for Ethernet Packets.
'.' is a Good Packet. 'X' is a Bad Packet.
Type any key to stop.

If connecting the U10 to another computer, you'll need a crossover
cable. If it's a router, then a regular Cat-5 (or Cat-7?) cable will
do.

I hope this helps!

Lex
