Early versions of OS/2 2.x had bad interrupt handling, unless you were
on an MCA based motherboard.  Since the PS/2 protocol uses 3 bytes, you
can end up with a situation where losing 1 byte completely screws
everything up.  Serial port based mice do not have that issue.
