The DL 380R and DL 580R are one generation newer than the 6400, 1850, etc... so your 6400 is long in the tooth compared to those.

Something like 6400R -> DL 580R (beige) -> DL 580 G2 (grey), 580 G3, 585 G1 (AMD), etc.  My 6400 was PII Xeon 550, my 580 was PIII Xeon 700.
