I really want to pout about the two iMacs.
As for the question... I think the criteria varies by category...
PC Desktop: I like your P4 2.0 Ghz criteria, especially since they can be
cheaply upgraded to 2.6 or better.
PC Laptop: Definitely scrap anything below 400mhz (I'll let the ThinkPad
600e sneak in there), but I'd probably at least give/sell anything below a
P3 1.0 Ghz. (Which reminds me... I really should list those Thinkpad T20s on
eBay one of these days.)
Mac Desktop: G-3, 400mhz at a minimum, though the low-end G-4 towers seem to
be cheap enough (except for the cost of shipping) to warrant those being a
bare minimum.
Mac Laptop: I tend to like the PowerBook G-3s as a minimum (esp. The Pismo)
