I don't know, and perhaps it can.  But I don't have a stock of a
variety of cells to rebuild it woth, and have fairly limited "machine
shop" facilities for things such as battery case opening and reclosing
(I don't know whether it's glued or solvent-welded or what, but as I
recall it's not designed to be opened non-destructively - perhaps I
should look at it again).
