Hey robert, I won't be in new mexico any time soon that I know of, but
thanks for the offer.
I might have to divert a planned cross country road trip through there
though, your collection sounds amazing. Either way, if there's ever a
point at which you have to get rid of the stuff, please let me know,
maybe I can get a U-Haul or something... These machines are so
elegant, I kind of feel like it's my responsibility to preserve and
maintain them-- the first Onyx rack I got was going to be dumped in a
Chicago alley!

I've heard of Blue Mountain, they sound like a blast to have worked
for. Those 4D twin towers must've been so cool, especially at the time
they came out. I'd love to get one but for space reasons I probably
have to settle for a Personal Iris as my first 4D era SGI until I can
rent a shack or something for my gear.

I was wondering though-- as much as I hate to see people part out
complete equipment, could I possibly purchase that quad R10K board off
of you, and maybe some Onyx drive sleds/misc repair parts? And do you
know where I can find a Personal Iris? I'm not opposed to shelling out
for ridiculous shipping, and paying for the stuff itself-- I have a
vintage SGI fund I've been saving.

Also, if you want to keep the machine in a state where it'd be
somewhat complete when you got rid of it, I'd even mail you back my
old boards.

Thanks,

-- Ian

P.S. If I find come August that there's room in my dorm for any of
this stuff, I might have to rent a U-Haul anyways, so time will
tell...
