Neither actually. The ribbon the server has is about an inch and a 
quarter wide, with a bare end. It is similar to the connector that 
server slimline floppies use. There is an adapter out there that 
converts this into the high density connector that laptop CDs use.

I have held one in my hand that I pulled from nearly every Proliant 
rackmount server I have disassembled. I cannot find the part now; and 
every search I try fails.
