[rescue] Q: regarding ES40 video

I have used white-box Cirrus and Trio64 cards in my Alphas with no problems 
from SRM, Tru64 or VMS. No experience with Radeons as I don't have a EV6 box 
yet, but it seems like it'll work as long as it identifies as a Radeon rather 
than somebody's special OEM card.

I'd encourage you to try out VMS - not UNIX no matter what the docs say about 
"POSIX compliance", but a worthwhile adversary or good ally.
