Also, you (the OP) could try calling Think3P about reconditioning it, or
maybe a trade in.  Their price on a refurb one is $550, so hopefully
their price on reconditioning yours would be a good bit less.

They were nice to deal with when I bought my 1400 RM XL from them.

I've also used refurbups.com for work a fair amount with good results.
