The Sunblade 1000 uses USB keyboard/mouse, so it could be true...
There are low-cost USB KVMs *designed* to support USB Sun workstations, like those from IOGear:

Is $70 list, but cheaper online from discount retailers (amazon, buy.com, etc)...
Made to support Win/Mac/Sun/Linux USB machines.
