There was a way to do it by mixing DLLS from the last beta and the RTM
(Release to Manufacturer) version, but MS plugged the hole.

Yep. It's been cracked. First, there was a fake license server setup in
China (dubbed Melinda Gates Activation Server), and now, a BIOS emulator
to make Vista think you've bought a system with Vista pre-installed.
Microsoft reports these installs as Genuine. Will be interesting to see
how MS combats this with SP1.
