[rescue] Lotus 1-2-3 for DOS?

Died physically...

The drive is one of those 3.5"/5.25" combo drives. For some reason, when I
put the 1-2-3 disk in, it doesn't trip whatever mechanism loads the
heads/arms the eject button, etc.

Died as in it won't work at all, or as in no matter how you try to copy
it,  you get read errors? AFAIK Lotus at some point used physicaly damaged
disks as copy protection. That may be what you are seeing.
