They work decently and they're cheap. They're also next to impossible to
get firmware for - when it comes to service contracts, software
downloads, etc they're every bit as bad as Cisco.

Nortel is a small player in network infrastructure world. People use 'em
because Nortel consultants recommend them for use with Nortel VoIP phone
setups.

Oh, and they're worthless on the used market ;)
