OK, I'll weigh in, too, since I don'r remember anyone mentioning Schrade 
so far. I have been using Schrade knives (for carving among other 
things) for 25 years or so. Now I have a pocket multi-tool thing from 
Schrade that I really like because the pliers are needlenose, and the 
blade is really sharp with a serrated section near the handle. It is not 
quite as bulky-feeling in the back pocket as some others, too.
