Let me amend this: an archived post[0] to sunmanagers indicates that  
memory failures may actually do this. I'll get right on this...
(right after I figure out how to affix the heatsink where it belongs  
so that the processor - also of uncertain status - won't end up fried  
because of something *I* did.)
