A loving list member sent me a CPU, and badabam! I'm back in bidness.  
The RAM turned out to be OK, too :).

This still isn't fixed. I tried epoxy, but it snapped before even a  
little bit of pressure is supplied... I think that the now-unattached  
tab is too small for it to work.
Fortunately, however, that isn't an issue (for now), because the  
heatsink came glued onto the processor.
