You probably missed it. On the motherboard it's a 50 pin header on the
back it's the same IBM PC printer socket (female DB25) that Apple used for 
SCSI on desktops. The Beige G3 was the last machine with one on the
motherboard. Later machines could add one in a PCI slot.

I believe the Beige G3 will boot from the SCSI controller. Note that AFIK
it only supports one IDE hard drive.
