The U2 system is running FreeBSD 6.0 and I don't have any power
managing software installed. I am however getting an error on boot
regarding a corrupted IDPROM. I do not know if these two things are
related. I have observed the system do an immediate shutoff while it
was in use, so I know it is not a power saving function of the OS or
peripheral software.

Thanks for your suggestions though.
