Easy way to tell is to check the SCSI port - if the external SCSI port is
68-pin, the machine is a U1E and has hme ethernet (100Mb), if it's 50-pin
the machine is a stock U1 and has the 10Mb ethernet.

You can also look at the colour of the circle containing the "1" in the U1
logo - red for an E, green for a stock 1. This is less reliable than the
SCSI port approach, though, due to possible lid-swapping antics in the
machine's past.
