I think you misunderstand. I do backups which many people consider to
be downright paranoid. (Of course, most people don't do ANY backups,
but still.) I can't count the amount my ass has been saved. The number
of times it's failed me? That I can count pretty easily, and I won't
even need to take my shoes off.

No, I simply meant that the sheer amount of data will relatively small
and the raw backup speed doesn't have to kick ass. I can afford to use
cheaper components that won't hold up to industrial use because I
won't be beating them to death.

I didn't mean my data were less important. Just fewer of them.
