Google was one of three companies that invested a total of $100,000,000
(one hundred million dollars) in a company the does BPL (broadband
over power lines). In test run all over the world, BPL failed miserably
and interfered with all sorts of radio signals including ham radio,
shortwave broadcasting, emergency communitcations, CB,etc.

Google's corporate policy is to "do no evil". To many people who depend
upon these freqencies or use them for recreation, this is pretty darn evil.
