I haven't had much fun getting multiple sound cards working on Linux.
In my desktop at work I have some onboard sound (alc650 seems to be what
linux things it is) and an Audigy in a PCI slot.  The gnome mixer
program in RHEL3 sees both cards, meaning that linux sees them both, but
I can't get seem to be able to output to both.  I can output to the
audigy, or I can change the ordering in modules.conf then output to the
ALC650 after a reboot, but the standard write to dsp for the first card,
dsp1 for the second card doesn't seem to work.

In two other computers here, I have working 8 channel sound cards in
linux plus working 6 channels on another card (so 14 channels per box),
but they won't work with most normal audio programs since the drivers
are neither ALSA or OSS.

I'll give it a try in a few moments once I'm done recording a DVD from
my O2.
