The VSIMM does not give you 24 bit color - I think you're confusing the SS/4 VSIMM with the SS/10sx/20 VSIMM... Think LX VSIMM...

An SS/20 SM85 box with 6x 64 Meg DIMMs and two 8 Meg VSIMMs might maks a nice little NS box - I assume dual head is supported...
