We all have different talents and thought patterns. While everything can
be tied to math, math doesn't necessarily make everything. Much of
music can be expressed mathematically, but math doesn't make good
music very often. Those who want to reduce everything to math remind
me of the old saw about Shakespear, monkeys, and typewriters.

I too am also using solder, databooks, test equipment, schematics
and logical troubleshooting to solve problems in the real world. The
heaviest math that I use is decibels.

I did TEMPEST and EMI/EMC and ran into a lot of people who tried
to reduce things to math and avoid testing. Testing always found the
problems with trying to use math alone. Trust but verify.
