We grow our own peppers, outdoors in the summer and indoors during the
winter. They do just fine under artificial light, and there's nothing
like picking a nice fresh pepper in the dead of winter to warm you up.

We make this wonderful concoction we call "pepper death" by flaking dried
and smoked habaneros, serranos, cayennes and jalapenos. Sometimes some
Thai chilis or others make it in there for variety. It's a seasoning to
be reckoned with. A pinch is wonderful in a mug of hot chocolate, and
it's great as part of a rub.
