[rescue] [RESOLUTION] APC MasterSwitch alternatives

Thanks for everyone's input on MasterSwitch alternatives.
Some people suggested X10. Actually not a bad idea at all, but the
security of it just worries me. I have no reason to suspect or think
that someone would sit outside my house with a X10 transmitter and a
screw driver just to turn my DSL modem off, but I still have that
sense of "ick".
But most people recommended Baytech, first among them Patrick
Giagnocavo. Essentially the same as an APC unit, but not the APC
brand name. I hadn't heard of baytech before, so this was exactly the
answer I was looking for.
What I ended up with was a 20-amp Baytech RPC-3.

The price ($51+$10 ship) was more like what I suspected a
MasterSwitch would cost...and it does what I wanted. Its not clear
right yet if it reports number of amps or anything (I suspect not)
but that'd be just YA-MRTG graph.
