Unlike the fiasco that is NT, OS/2 was much more modular.

A college buddy of mine worked for a bit in Boca Raton, and they had
some really neat custom OS/2 kernels for various tasks.

The engineers thought the OS/2 released for desktop use was horribly
bloated... :)
