True story...

 I was troubleshooting a family members sytem. Go into PC bios and turn on
slow memory checking. Stupid thing runs thru the memory with no errors,
so I think everything is okay. Later I revert to memtestx86, tons of bad
memory.

 I think the memory count is for show.

 This was a fairly nice Asus A7Vish motherboard with whatever bios they
use (Blue screen with red cursor bar)
