Depending on what else you have in your SS10 (SBus cards, memory, 
disks), I think it should be able to handle 2xHS150 without 
overheating or extra cooling. I have 2xHS142 in mine, and two 9GB 
disks, and it runs just fine. The airflow in the SS10 isn't quite as 
bad as rumored.

The 40MHz figure is a strong indication that your hyperSPARC module 
might be broken. I got the same with a defective HS166. It seems a 
module defaults into the MBus clock speed if the CPU clock is broken.

And, yes, the difference in speed should be quite obvious...
