Based on the quality of my Lite-On VCD recorder / DVD player, its great.

I mainly got the VCD recorder dual-deck model due to a. initial cost ($150
versus $300) and media cost (burnable DVDs are still around $1 each, while
CD-Rs are less than ten cents).
