Yeah, I thought it was a good deal (for free), now I have confirmation 
:).  So far I have sunk $35 into it buying a new sealed black toner 
cartridge for it off ebay.

Thanks, that'd be great..  There is a thin metal plate roughly 6x6 
inches that I either took out of the printer or it came with it.  I 
forgot.  I think this needs to go back in and is important :).  See if 
that is in your manual, I think it might be the "tray sensor board".  thanks
