Nope, brand new drive (2-3 months old).  Worked fine when I shipped it to
someone else who needed the data; when it got there, they reported "won't spin
up".  I think they tried to use the wrong external power supply for the 
FireWire enclosure and fried it.

Then, they shipped it back in the enclosure - with all the screws for the drive
and enclosure in a plastic bag in the box.  It got rattled around inside the
enclosure for a FedEx First Overnight trip from CA to TX. 8-(
