[rescue] Current collections...

I've never had a problem with a Netgear hub of any sort. HP - well that's
another story, but I don't think I'd place them top of my list when it comes
to buying a new hub.....

I have had good success with D-Link (GigE switches) and some
NetGear stuff but i have had numerious issues with Linksys stuff
JUST NOT WORKING. The bad part about it is that all of our issues
have been with dumb hubs. How the hell do you screw up such a
simple device as a dumb hub?

When i worked at Deneba, we had four 24 port rack mount Linksys
10/100 hubs, mixed in with other networking gear. At various
times, they would just stop passing any traffic and had to be
power cycled in order to function again. I had this same issue
with another set of Linksys 24 port hubs at my current job.

At home i had a small 8 port 10/100 hub that would do the very
same thing. It only seemed to happen when we were working the
hubs hard, pushing a lot of crap through them.

That's three separate instances, at three separate locations
using three different models (or revisions) of the product. I
still have two of their 24 port hubs at home, and i still use
them because i currently have nothing else for the task, but i
will never pay money for another piece of Linksys gear.
